Mission Hospital and Asheville Anesthesia Associates Announce Partnership

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 15, 2012) – Mission Hospital is pleased to announce a renewal and expansion of its long-standing partnership with Asheville Anesthesia Associates, P.A.

“For over 40 years Asheville Anesthesia Associates has provided the highest quality services to Mission and our community in western North Carolina,” said Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN, President and COO of Mission Hospital. “We have been very happy with our long-standing partnership, and in evaluating our options for the future, it was an easy choice – even when compared to national competitors – to expand our partnership with our colleagues right here in Asheville. Their dedication to providing the highest standards of clinical excellence, looking for ways to re-engineer and improve care and their willingness to collaborate as partners, proves their ability to satisfy our patients’ needs.”

With 34 physicians and over 100 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Asheville Anesthesia Associates has served the community of western North Carolina since 1971.The Anesthesiologists and CRNAs team up to deliver anesthesia care to over 60,000 patients each year. Anesthesiologists not only specialize in providing anesthesia to patients during surgery, but are also uniquely qualified to treat unexpected issues that may arise during a surgery or any chronic conditions that need special attention during the surgery.
