Muses of Terpsicorps performance at Diana Wortham Theatre, May 23

Students of Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance kick off the new season with a performance at Diana Wortham Theatre on Saturday, May 23.

Press release from Terpsicorps:

Join us for Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance’s annual kick off event! Every May, Heather Maloy’s students perform a mixed repertoire program at the Diana Wortham Theatre. This year features contemporary choreography by Heather Maloy and excerpts from the classical ballets Paquita and Swan Lake, as well as from the Balanchine ballet, Raymonda Variations. The talented young students at WNC Dance Academy were very lucky to work with the amazing Robert Barnett, formerly the artistic director of Atlanta Ballet and a NYC Ballet dancer, who taught them excerpts from Raymonda Variations.  WNC Dance Academy modern teachers Janice Lancaster and Lindsay Kelly will also be presenting works set on the students and WNCDA’s competing performance Company, XTreme, will be our performing guests.

Tickets are on sale now! To purchase tickets, call 828-257-4530 or visit dwtheatre.com.
