North Carolina Stage Company recently announced plans to host two summer camps for varying ages of young producers.
The first runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 29 through July 10 and is for children ages 6-13. Children will learn theatre skills such as acting, voice, movement and stagecraft, culminating in a production of The Phantom Tollbooth. The camp is $500 and includes the two weeks of camp, the script, costumes and a souvenir T-shirt.
The second is for older children, ages 14-18, and runs three weeks from July 13 through Aug. 2, from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This camp has limited space, giving a chance for each student to receive more focused advice and a bigger role in the contemporary play at the end of the summer. It costs $750 for three weeks of camp, one weekend of production, a script, costumes and a camp T-shirt. The play for the advanced camp will be open to the public.

The production will be a humorous, contemporary play and will run for a weekend. The performance will be open to the public along with NC Stage subscribers and fans. Advanced production camp runs July 13th- August 2nd, 2015.Space is limited so secure your spot now. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space and the balance is due on or before the first day of camp.
