Our VOICE hosts virtual event featuring Amber Tamblyn

Press release from Our VOICE:

As an agency, Our VOICE continues to work diligently to adapt our services to the changing circumstances and needs that have arisen due to COVID-19 while maintaining support to individuals in crisis in our community. Our offices at 35 Woodfin Street are still open from 8am-5pm on weekdays, and we are available as always 24/7 through our Crisis Hotline.

On March 12, as we faced the coming threat of COVID-19 in our mountain community, we had to cancel our largest fundraiser of the year; however, we believe that still having this conversation is crucial as we continue to work to shift culture and end sexual violence and harassment in our city and county.

We are excited to announce that Amber Tamblyn will be joining Our VOICE for a VIRTUAL Break the Silence event, live through Crowdcast TONIGHT – May 21st at 6:30pm.

Tickets to the VIRTUAL Break the Silence Event are available here.

The Break the Silence Speaker Series is our largest fundraiser of the year and Our VOICE is committed to making our event accessible by offering equity tickets to folx that need one. You can request your ticket by contacting rvoice@ourvoicenc.org.

The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained.
