PRESS RELEASE:

Pam Jones Trio Blends Jazz, Folk, Pop
Friday, January 22 – 8 p.m.- Singer Pamela Jones and band. Cabaret jazz. $15

The White Horse Black Mountain’s popular Cabaret Jazz series continues on Friday, January 22 at 8 p.m with vocalist/songwriter Pam Jones. Pam relocated to Asheville from New York City, where she acted on TV and live comedy shows while writing and performing original acoustic-guitar driven songs. She released her first solo album, Brightest Minds, in 2011, a refreshing blend of folk, jazz and indie pop. Since moving to Asheville Jones’ focus has shifted toward the jazz world, and she enjoys alternating timeless standards with her original compositions. She’s worked with various musical lineups, but the Pam Jones Trio performing at the White Horse has pianist Alex Taub and bassist Daniel Ianucci joining the singer on stage. Together they rework Jones’ back catalog and jazz classics to reflect a fresh, modern musical sensibility.

Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.
