Public Assistance Requested in Identifying Credit Card Fraud Suspects
Asheville, NC (April 19, 2016): The Asheville Police Department is requesting public assistance to identify two suspects involved in credit card fraud. On April 8th the two suspects broke into a vehicle parked at the YMCA on Woodfin Street and stole the victim’s credit cards. Fraudulent charges on the victim’s cards were placed at Best Buy (83 S. Tunnel Road) and Target (115 River Hills Road and 15 McKenna Road) between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Security camera footage obtained from Target shows images of the two suspects. They are described as a white male and African American or Hispanic female. If anyone has information on the identification of these individuals they are encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110 or Buncombe County Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050.
