Press release from United Way of Henderson County:
United Way of Henderson County, Publix of Hendersonville, the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County, and the City of Hendersonville will host a ribbon cutting on Monday, June 24, at 3:30 p.m., to celebrate the installation of a new Little Free Library. The library is located at Sullivan Park, 713 Martin Circle, in Hendersonville.
The Little Free Library was donated by Publix of Hendersonville and built by hand by store manager Sanel Tufekcic at a Publix conference earlier this year. Publix has also generously provided 100 books to fill the Library. Little Free Libraries are a neighborhood book exchange program where everyone is invited to take a book or leave a book. The exchange program was founded in 2009 to inspire readers and strengthen communities.
On Friday, June 21, the Little Free Library was installed at Sullivan Park with help from Publix and City of Hendersonville employees. The library will be maintained by members of the Boys and Girls Club.
United Way of Henderson County, Publix of Hendersonville, and the Boys and Girls Club invites the public to attend the ribbon cutting on Monday.
