Press release:
Park Ridge Health and Mountain Home Care have joined together in bringing Teepa Snow, one of America’s leading educators in the treatment of dementia, to offer presentations free of charge for our community. Working as a Registered Occupational Therapist for more than 30 years, Snow’s wealth of experience has led her to develop Positive Approach® to Care techniques and training models that families and professionals working or living with dementia and other brain changes are now using throughout the world.
On Monday, November 14, Snow will offer two presentations, both geared toward caregivers of dementia patients:
9 – 11 a.m.: “Learning the Difference Between Confrontational and Supportive Communication”
1 -3 p.m.: “Understanding Yourself as a Caregiver: What Do You Need to Keep Going?”
While the morning presentation will be geared toward professional caregivers and the afternoon session more toward family and friend caregivers, both sessions are open to anyone who would like to attend.
