Season’s at Highland Lake to host cooking class, Nov. 21

“This fast-paced demonstration highlights classical cooking techniques and encourages guest interaction with executive chef Steve Boeger, who will be leading the class,” reads a release for Season’s at Highland Lake’s forthcoming workshop.

The featured entrée for the event is line-caught salmon with minted pea purée, sautéed fingerling potatoes, pickled watermelon radish and micro pea sprouts. For dessert, participants can watch the chef whip up a warm banana pecan strudel with bourbon ice cream, maple sauce, whipped cream, caramel sauce and Nutella powder. Boeger will suggest wine pairings for each course.

Chef Boeger’s demonstration takes place at the Flat Rock restaurant, 86 Lily Pad Lane, on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. Participation costs $35 per person. Call 696-9094 for reservations.

Season’s at Highland Lake announces their November Cooking Class. This fast-paced demonstration highlights classical cooking techniques and encourages guest interaction with Executive Chef Steve Boeger, who will be leading the class.

Line-Caught Salmon with Minted Pea Purée, Sautéed Fingerling Potatoes, Pickled Watermelon Radish and Micro Pea Sprouts will be the featured entrée. A 2012 Yalumba Shiraz at $9 has been selected to pair.

For dessert, a Warm Banana Pecan Strudel with Bourbon Ice Cream, Maple Sauce, Whipped Cream, Caramel Sauce and Nutella Powder will be demonstrated. A Rosa Regale Sparkling Red at $8 has been paired with this dessert.
