Student Art on display at Rejavanation Café

Press release:

Investigative Exhibition, a collection of Asheville School’s Studio Art I students’ work, will be on display at Rejavanation Café off of Smoky Park Highway until the end of the month.

“As the Visual Arts teacher at Asheville School, I am delighted to exhibit the work of the Studio Art I students. We feel fortunate to show our hard work to the guests of the valued local gem, Rejavanation Café,” Casey Arbor said. “Investigative Exhibition is the thoughtful work of the beginner level art class at Asheville School. As you peruse the exhibition enjoy the Chinese landscapescomplete with original poetry and signature seal. You may notice the self-portraits with mock African Kente cloth uniquely designed by each artist. You can glimpse into the minds and hearts of today’s teenagers as you see that they feel strongly and want to share with the masses in their Street Art project. Please enjoy!”

The Asheville School artists include Shasha Yan, Caroline Bleick, Jon Krupnick, Journey Dreyer, Liz Campbell, Azana Green, Dohee Kim, Max Milnor, Phillip Lee, Annabelle Kim, Isabel Welchel, Timothy Lynch, Ally Barbier, Sarah Jane Kline, Hank Boyd, Anabel Hall, Emma Lane, Morgan Morris, and a couple of collaborative pieces from the sophomore class.

Arbor adds, “Thank you Gary Johnson, Matthew Burd, and all the staff at our local jewel for helping make this opportunity a reality.” |
