Press release from the Appalachian Barn Alliance:

Forty years after touring together with brothers Don and Tim in the 70’s as the Gott & Lewis Offspring String Band, Marty Lewis and Susi Gott, as well as brother Don, have agreed to reunite in a concert for the benefit of the Appalachian Barn Alliance. This timely collaboration between these Madison County natives is a tribute to the land which inspires them both to sing and to compose melodies born of mountain streams and windy gaps, and the colorful tales passed on by neighbors and ballads of those lately laid to rest.

Come enjoy the music of the award-winning fiddler Susi Gott and two of the Sons of Ralph – brothers Marty and Don Lewis — who toured with their father, as well as Bill Monroe, while growing up.

The concert will be at the Broyhill Chapel on the Mars Hill University campus at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 12. Tickets are just $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Email info@appalachianbarns.org or call Sandy at 828 380-9146 to reserve.
