Sylva Meditation center hosts grand opening events

Press release from The Meditation Center:

The Meditation Center announces its grand opening with an open house, Tuesday December 15 through Friday, December 18, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday, December 22 and 23, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.  Visitors will be able to learn more about our services to the Jackson County community and beyond, and will be able to register for a selection of grand opening door prizes, which will be announced on Wednesday, December 23 at 5:30 pm.

The Meditation Center will hold a special New Year Renewal Meditation Service on Saturday, January 2 at 12:00 noon. The service will include an inspirational lecture, followed by a guided meditation, accompanied by chimes and music, designed to start the new year off with a refreshed and peaceful outlook. All are welcome.  Seating is limited.

The Meditation Center announces a newly-launched support group called WINGS (Widows in Need of Grief Support).  Anyone who has survived the death of their spouse, partner, child or other closed loved one is welcome to attend. We will meet on a monthly basis to share our experiences to help each other on a journey of  finding peace in our situation. This is an opportunity for everyday folks to meet with others who have had the experience of loss in their life.  Through our stories and our inspirations, we can help to light the path for each other as we learn to experience life in a new way. This is an informal meeting.  All we ask is that you come with a desire to improve your life, and with loving respect for each others’ situations. Space is limited. Please call 356-1105 to register.  Meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.

The Meditation Center is a non-profit organization with a mission to help visitors “Find Your Peace” through meditation. It is located at 894 E. Main Street in Sylva.  Visit www.meditate-wnc.org or call 356-1105 for information on classes and hours.
