From the McDowell News
By Mike Conley
Investigators with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office are trying to determine who tampered with the equipment at the Armstrong Fish Hatchery which resulted in the deaths of approximately 150,000 rainbow trout during the Easter weekend.
Meanwhile, officials with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission say they will do whatever they can to minimize the effects upon anglers in western North Carolina despite the loss of so many fish.
