Press release from the Trauma Intervention Program of WNC:
The Trauma Intervention Program of WNC has been awarded $5,000 from an anonymous donor to conduct a Secret Santa Project in Asheville. TIP of WNC is a local nonprofit organization that partners with Law Enforcement, EMS and Fire Departments to provide immediate support to victims of trauma.
This year, TIP of WNC is partnering with the Asheville Police Department to distribute the funds to several lucky residents. Cash will be distributed to unsuspecting citizens, within one week in mid December, while TIP is out with APD on patrol.
TIP is accepting donations from citizens in the community that would like to be a Secret Santa and contribute funds to the project. 100% of your donation will be given to TIP and APD, who will give your donation directly to families in need!
