Tryon Little Theatre stages “Love, Sex, and the IRS,” April 9-19

Tryon Little Theatre wraps its season with the farce Love, Sex, and the IRS. It runs April 9-12 and April 16-19 at the Tryon Little Theatre Workshop.

Press release from the theater group:

The final show in Tryon Little Theatre’s 2014-2015 season is almost here! Love, Sex, and the IRS runs April 9-12 and April 16-19 at the Tryon Little Theatre Workshop.  Set in the 1970s, this hilarious farce is filled with “PG” but not “PC” humor, that provides a much-need laugh during tax season.

Jon and Leslie—male roommates—file tax returns as a married couple to save some money.  Then the tax man arrives to check things out…along with a fiancée, an ex-girlfriend, a mother, and a guy in dresses.  It’s like a cross between “I Love Lucy” and “Some Like It Hot” with plenty of slamming doors and missed connections.

Directed by Scott Waddell, Love, Sex and the IRS features a cast of all local talent and veterans of the Tryon Little Theatre stage.  Tickets are available from the TLT box office at 828-859-2466.
