UNC Asheville Singers to perform at the White House for ninth year

For the ninth consecutive year, the UNC Asheville Singers are headed to Washington, D.C. to perform at the White House, entertaining visitors at the Holiday Open House in December.

“This is a great honor for our students to travel to D.C. as ambassadors for UNC Asheville,” said director Melodie Galloway, chair and associate professor of music.

In addition to the performance at the White House, the UNC Asheville Singers will entertain soldiers in the Wounded Warrior program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

Choir members include students Kayla Blair, Ben Brown, Tara Carr, Dillon Carter, Matthew Deitch, Lindsay Ferkol, Lara Fetto, Gary Freedman, Beryl Fulford, Jeremy Gage, Sarala Mahlin Korn, Kyra Lewis, Nikki Madle, Brian Mahan, Bryan Marks, Justin Morris, Conor Mulderrig, John O’Neil, Nathaniel Odom, Joel Ragan, Susan Richey, Kendra Risley, Kyla Rohe, Makeda Sanford, Hunter Scaggs, Talia Service, Sam Spivey, Jacob Stern, Kaitlyn Tarley, Peyton Walker.
