UNC Asheville to hold public Board of Trustees meeting March 28

The UNC Asheville Board of Trustees will hold committee meetings from 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at 118 W.T. Weaver Boulevard, and the full board will meet from 8 a.m.-1:15 p.m. on Friday, March 28, in the Sherrill Center, Mission Health System Mountain View Conference Room, on the UNC Asheville campus.

At the conclusion of the Thursday afternoon sessions, a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 118 W.T. Weaver Boulevard, the new home of UNC Asheville Student Health and Counseling Services and the University Advancement offices. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and reception.

The Board of Trustees meeting is open to the public. Portions of the meeting may be closed to the public under the provisions of the North Carolina Open Meetings Act.

The UNC Asheville Board of Trustees is composed of 13 members; eight are appointed by the UNC Board of Governors and four are appointed by the governor. The UNC Asheville Student Government Association president, who is elected by the student body, also is a voting member of the board.
