United Way’s Days of Caring empowers volunteers to help local nonprofits

Press release from United Way of Henderson County: 

On Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th United Way of Henderson County is rallying more than 200 volunteers throughout the community for their annual Days of Caring to help make a meaningful impact in the community. Here in Henderson County, volunteers will be working on 40 service projects at 28 local nonprofit agencies to fulfill critical needs.

WHAT: Mobilize volunteers to improve conditions and fulfill service needs at local nonprofits

WHEN: Friday, May 12th – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. & Saturday, May 13th – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. WHERE: List of projects and locations are attached in email

After projects are complete on Friday, May 12th, volunteers are invited to attend an afternoon celebration at Southern Appalachian Brewery from 3-5 p.m.

WHO: Teams of Henderson County volunteers from local businesses and large companies as well as individuals, families, and civic groups.
