Water Department isolates water line disruption to minimize the potential impact

The Water Department would like to provide this update on the water service disruption in downtown Asheville this evening.

Teams on site were able to replace the damaged valve attached to a single service line.

Crews will remain on site as water service is restored to the one identified customer currently out of service.

The contractor will be billed for equipment costs and road repair needed to address and remedy this incident.
