WCU Bardo Arts Center to screen live London production of “Kinky Boots”

The WCU Bardo Arts Center Performance Hall opens the spring season with a film screening of the acclaimed live production of Kinky Boots from London’s Theatre Royal, presented as a part of the Bardo Arts Center (BAC) Sunday Cinema Series. The screening will be shown in HD on the big screen in the BAC Performance Hall on February 9 at 3 p.m. With songs by Grammy® and Tony® winning pop icon, Cyndi Lauper, direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Hairspray) and book by Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles), this ‘dazzling, fabulously sassy and uplifting’ (Time Out) award-winning musical celebrates a joyous story of Brit grit to high-heeled hit, as it takes you from the factory floor of Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan!

Ticket Prices for the film screening are $15 for adults, $10 for WCU faculty/staff, $10 for seniors 65+, and $5 for students. This film is not rated but should be treated as PG and has a run time of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes with one ten minute intermission.
