WCU sponsoring employment law workshop in Asheville

CULLOWHEE – “Employment Law Horror Stories for Friday the 13th and How to Avoid Becoming One” is the title of a workshop being sponsored Friday, Nov. 13, by Western Carolina University’s Office of Continuing and Professional Education.

Workshop instructor Jon Yarbrough will present a session detailing horror stories from some of the current interpretations of employment law. Yarbrough is an employment attorney practicing with the national labor and employment law firm Constangy, Brooks & Smith in Asheville. He also writes an occasional column for the Asheville-Citizen Times about some of the legal pitfalls of managing people.

The workshop will be held at WCU’s instructional site at Biltmore Park Town Square from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Registration is $75, with lunch included.
