Press release:

Asheville, NC, February 22, 2019: Wedge Brewing Company is proud to partner with PUSH Skate Shop to host the inaugural chili cook-off to benefit the River Arts District DIY skatepark known as the Foundation Spot. The chili cook-off’s goal is to help the skatepark raise funds to assist in expanding the park’s features as well help towards their insurance coverage. Fundraising organizer & Wedge bartender, Matt Miller, says “This is an exciting event for us since it’s outside of our normal fundraising efforts. We have partnered with Wedge on a few other events and they are big supporters of the skate scene and the DIY park.”

The cook-off will be held at Wedge’s Foundation location at 5 Foundy St on March 2nd from 4pm to 9pm. The event will be open to the public for tasting with a $10 donation at the door. The cook-off will feature both meat and vegetarian categories with a winner announced for each category.
