Welcome to Leicester: A call for submissions

PRESS RELEASE:

People in Leicester (North Carolina) are being encouraged to think about the relationship they have with the city of Leicester in Britain and send in short poems about that relationship for possible inclusion in a new anthology that is coming out in October this year.
To be eligible for inclusion in the anthology, the poems must be in English and should be 40 lines or less with a strong, recognisable link to Leicester (England).

The poems could be about an experience or aspect of Leicester or they could be about part of a life story, a family story, a favourite place in Leicester, a personality or celebrity with a strong link to Leicester or they could be about a relationship with the city, its people, features, landmarks, peculiarities or history.
The deadline for submission is midnight, 15 July 2016.
The anthology, which will be called Welcome to Leicester, will be edited by Emma Lee and Ambrose Musiyiwa and published by Dahlia Publishing.
