Press release from the office of Western Carolina Rescues Ministries:
On Thursday, April 30, 2020 Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) will be distributing free masks to anyone and everyone in need. Masks will be distributed during the dinner hour (4:30-5:30pm) just outside the WCRM building located at 225 Patton Avenue. This is where meals (lunch and dinner) have been served to the public since the start of COVID-19.
Western Carolina Rescue Ministries is the largest overnight emergency shelter which serves the homeless, poor and addicted populations of Western North Carolina. As an organization that seeks to provide the basic necessities to those in need, this is one of many ways we can continue to love on the least of these.
It is our goal to equip our clients, staff, and any other individuals throughout the Western North Carolina area with personal protective equipment that they might not normally have access to
during this pandemic.
