WLOS: Leicester 6-year-old receives heart transplant

From WLOS:

LEICESTER, N.C. — A little girl was recovering Monday after receiving her second heart transplant late last week.

Family says 6-year-old Olivia Landreth is making friends with all the nurses at her Atlanta hospital. Photos show the little girl – who family describes as a “firecracker” – smiling and wearing pigtails four days after a seven-hour operation.

“I just praise the Lord every day that it went well with little Olivia,” Leicester Volunteer Fire Department Chief Chris Brown said. “I just couldn’t imagine what this family is going through.”
