WWC open house: Students, families have new options

Here’s the press release from Warren Wilson College:

Warren Wilson College’s Fall Open House on Nov. 9 will include new opportunities for prospective students and their families: a variety of afternoon Wilson Samplers.

The samplers, at a number of locations across campus, will showcase various aspects of campus life, including facets of the academic and work programs as well as campus fitness/recreational opportunities. The College’s Green Walkabout, telling the story of sustainability at Warren Wilson College, also will be available in the afternoon.

Open House begins with registration and an Early Bird Concert at 8:30 a.m. in the Warren Wilson College Chapel, near the north entrance to campus, and ends late in the afternoon. Visitors will be welcomed at 9 a.m. by Steve Solnick, Warren Wilson College president, and Dawn Medley, vice president for enrollment and marketing.

As is always the case at Open House, students also will be able to meet faculty, staff and current students; tour the campus; learn more about the academic program, the Warren Wilson College Triad, financial aid and campus life; and have an admission interview. Students and their families also are invited to enjoy lunch as guests of the college.
