In this week’s Elitist Bastards Go To The Movies podcast, Mountain Xpress film critics Ken Hanke and Justin Souther review: Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, Unknown and I Am Number Four. The Bastards also discuss Brian De Palma’s iconic horror film Carrie (this week’s Thursday Horror Picture Show) and the Josef von Sternberg classic Shanghai Express (next week’s Asheville Film Society screening). And just to whet your appetite for next week’s episode, they even talk a little about forthcoming flicks Drive Angry 3D and Hall Pass.
Also worth noting is that the Elitist Bastards will be on hand for the Asheville Film Society’s Oscar party, held on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Carolina Asheville.

We do have some bastardly artwork for this, but it arrived after Miami Steve got it up (so to speak). He has it now, but it’s so shocking, so horrifying that it remains to be seen what he’ll do about it.
Problem solved.
Personally, I’m appalled.
You always know where you stand with “Big Momma” Hanke.
You just couldn’t wait to use that, could you?
And someone needs to tell Justin that he needs to dye his eyebrows to match if he’s going for that look.
Now this one I like.
Who all is going to be at The Carolina on Sunday?
Now this one I like.
I actually find it less disturbing than the Xmas one with Justin as an elf on my lap.
Who all is going to be at The Carolina on Sunday?
Well, Mr. Souther and I have little choice in the matter. Beyond that, who can say?
I’ll be there, running the streaming video feed and eating so much BBQ pizza.

There you go — a chance to watch Miami Steve in action. Who can resist?
