Acoustic Asheville: 5j Barrow

In just a few short months on the local scene, the musicians of 5j Barrow have already started making their mark with their own fiery brand of folk music. The duo consists of husband and wife Jason Hite and Eryn Murman, and they use that relationship to create an incredible amount of chemistry in their music.

Hite and Murman don’t have any local shows scheduled for the near future, but they’re included on the Songsmith Gathering bill in Brevard on May 18. That lineup is headed by David Crosby.

With some new music in the works, the band recently gave an exclusive performance for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville at The Grey Eagle.

“Mercury in Retrograde”

“Seagreen Dress”
