Acoustic Asheville: Aaron Woody Wood

There are few who can boast the credentials of Aaron Woody Wood. In more than 20 years on the local music scene, he’s been on a major label, toured the world and shared stages with some heavyweights of music.

Wood recently spent some time at the Fleetwood Shack Studios of one-time local resident and Band of Horses bassist Bill Reynolds. Along with former Blue Rags bandmate Mike Rhodes on drums, the trio formed the core of the sound featured on Wood’s new record Sunshine. It will be released on Saturday, May 6, with a  show at The Grey Eagle that night.

Ahead of that show, Wood gave a very special performance of three songs exclusively for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville.
