Acoustic Asheville: Hannah Kaminer

Hannah Kaminer is a folk singer with a voice like few others. The 2014 winner of the Brown Bag songwriting competition, she combines a wonderfully delicate vocal with emotionally weighted lyrics.

With a Kickstarter campaign in progress to hopefully support a second full-length record, Kaminer will be at The Altamont Theatre tonight — Friday, May 19, at 8 p.m. — to help raise funds for the new record. The night of music includes a set from Krista Shows + Scott Sharpe. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Ahead of that show, she performed a trio of songs at The Grey Eagle exclusively for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville.

“Don’t Open Your Heart”

“Impossible Things”

“City Song (If You Love Me, Bring Me to Life)”
