APD releases photos of suspect’s vehicle in fatal hit-and-run

The Asheville Police Department has released images of the light-colored Ford pick-up that struck and killed Mell Ailes, 57, yesterday, Nov. 23 on Broadway Street. The APD is seeking the pubic’s assistance in locating the perpetrator.

    Some states require license plates to be on both the front and back of vehicles. It appears that had that been the case here, it would be pretty easy to identify the tag number from the large photo of the front of the truck.

    Right about the front plates. Luckily they caught the guy but who knows next time.
    There are no pedestrian crosswalks for a distance of 1/3 miles on Broadway from I-240 to Chestnut therefor people will cross Broadway in less than safe circumstances.

      ABC/ALE office is on that block, Moog has cameras all over their building, the pioneer bldg does too… does it matter?

      It probably matters in some sort of bizarre libertarian gobbeldygook way that Mr. Peck won’t ever actually bother to explain.

      I’m not sure who wrote his candidate statement a few months ago, because I’ve never seen him elucidate anything anywhere else.
