Too bad the people who did represent it, including your marvelous Moffitt, were too caught up in petty power games and spite against the city to keep their jobs. I wonder if Moffitt ever regrets having you serve as his mouthpiece, considering that your presence in an endeavor is by itself enough to send everyone else running in the opposite direction.

You can believe the capital of Georgia is Macon, but that doesn’t make it true.

    • Austin

Awesome — so what’s you’re explanation for the marvelous Moffitt getting the boot? Are you honestly going to tell me that his constant attacks on the city weren’t part of it? Maybe it was some sort of sinister left-wing conspiracy somehow? Are you honestly going to tell me that your smug and relentless nastiness was somehow supposed to engender goodwill toward him?

    • Austin

Nonsense, it’s about why the Asheville area has no representation. Why did Moffitt lose? Was it because of his grudge against the city and his willingness to use the power of the State to crush a place he personally hates? Was your presence part of the reason he lost?

These are simple, direct questions. Can you answer them or can’t you?

Moffitt “represented” Asheville. Why did he lose? Was it because of his grudge against the city and his willingness to use the power of the State to crush a place he personally hates? Was your presence part of the reason he lost?

These are simple, direct questions. Can you or can you not answer them?

So you’re saying you can’t answer them? Then why do you posit yourself as some kind of social and political guru, rather than the garden-variety bully and thug that you are? You keep telling us that you have deep thoughts that we need to restructure society around, but this is the best you can do when someone asks you to explain? Really?

This is now officially a thread about me. I must be giving you such a headache, Lamar. I recommend some aspirin. You’ll will find them on the top shelf of the medicine cabinet, right next to the unused shaving cream.

I know you’d love for the thread to be about you, but it’s really about the statement you made and the questions about it that you refuse to answer. For someone who thinks he has all the answers, you’re sure stingy about doling any out this go-round.

No, actually what I wish would happen to you is unprintable. At the very least, I wish you’d bugger off back to Atlanta. However, I do wonder if you’re at all concerned that your inability to defend your position makes it appear as though your position is mired in unmitigated b.s.

You’re mistaking disgust for hostility, and as I recall you don’t have a great track record with the police, Mr. Smug.

Gentlemen, I am afraid you are both playing to much toward personal attacks. Please keep the comment boards about issues, not insults.
