I’ve been listening to interviews with all the Asheville City Council candidates on WCQS and reading about their positions elsewhere, and it seems to me all six richly deserve to win.
They all sound like fine folks and great candidates. Asheville is so lucky to have this lineup of candidates!
I’ll be darned how one could figure out how to vote for only three. Can’t we expand the City Council — quick — and vote them all in?

I heartily agree! A lot of positive energy in the race overall…unusual in this day and age & a beautiful thing.
Easy, pick the 3 not recommended by Beanie and Cecil.

they are all equally UNqualified to LEAD…Asheville suffers DECADES of progressive NON leadership…just look at the infrastructure and the state of the streets and sidewalks…pitiful progressive non leadership is all we can expect.

OneWhoKnows knows: Republicans are all about responsible governance and thoughtful solutions. Just put a few Republicans in office and things will…
Aw heck, I couldn’t even finish that thought without cracking up.

DUH, there’s lots o’ progressive republicannots as well…it’s not D or R…it’s progressive demise versus conservative survival.

Conservative survival… And yet you still can’t explain why the most conservative states are also the worst states when measuring every quality of life indicator, and why they take much more from the federal government than they pay to it.
But by all means, you keep right on vacuuming the carpets in your castle in the sky.

That’s why citizens are leaving NY in droves and California is actually population negative for the last 10 years, but for illegal immigration.

And yet New York and California have individual economies that are larger than most small countries, and why deep red states like Mississippi and Alabama continue to show quality of life markers more in line with the third world.
If you check to see which states take far more than they pay to the feds, and which states show the worst rates of illiteracy, infant mortality, teen pregnancy, std infection, diabetes, heart disease, educational attainment, and pretty much anything else, guess what you’ll find?
Hint: Not states such as California, New York, Massachusetts, or the like.
How mysterious!

Can you not keep on topic? We’re about CITY ELECTIONs in THIS thread…not other states…duh.

Nice dodge. Quite artful, in fact, the way you spout your nonsense, can’t back it up, and then twirl away wagging your finger when someone calls you on it.
Fact remains though, that you’ve been whining about progressives for weeks now, telling everyone here that progressive leadership will drag us all down into the tenth level of hell… and yet you can’t explain why conservative places tend to be the worst places. Why, it’s almost like you’re not telling the truth when you go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on about how the conservative places are always the best. Why would that be?
