Barack Obama was very impressive in the Sept. 26 debate. He presented the kind of judgment and leadership we will need if we are really going to change our country back to the respected world power we once were.
John McCain said he wants to go on indefinitely spending $10 billion a month in a country that has a surplus of $79 billion. The surge did not bring about change in the Iraqi government, and even they want us out on a set timetable.
It is time to get rid of the type of leaders who will not even attempt to employ diplomacy to defuse the several dangerous situations into which the Bush administration’s and Sen. McCain’s policies of ignoring or confronting people who hate us and our allies have gotten us.
