Unable to rely on touring as venues slowly reopen, local singer-songwriters are taking a new approach to making and sharing music.
The Asheville-based singer/songwriter worked with fellow local musician Laura Boswell on her latest video.
Taylor has a Transplant Thanksgiving show coming up at Hopey Co. on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
On Sunday, Sept. 2, the Christy Lynn Band will take the stage as one of the many musical acts perfuming at the Living Asheville Arts Festival on Lexington Avenue.
“Asheville just pulled me in, I feel like,” says Taylor. “I hear that’s a lot of people’s stories.”
Taylor will celebrate the video release with a performance at Asheville Music Hall on Thursday, May 31.
For artists, secret gigs represent a break from the typical concert routine, with its posters, social media plugs and mercurial crowds. But what would induce listeners to come out for an unannounced band?
