The Flaming Lips have been one of the most predictably unpredictable outfits in music for nearly 30 years. This weekend, frontman Wayne Coyne will serve as ringmaster to a circus of psychedelic madness when the band performs outdoors at the Animoog Playground. Free and open to the public, the SYNTH Art Show will feature more than a dozen of the top concert-poster artists and graphic designers from around the country, each of whom have designed and donated one-of-a-kind, hand-printed, Moog-themed posters for sale inside the Moogaplex (aka Haywood Park Hotel). What’s more, proceeds go to support the Bob Moog Foundation.
Ten different acts have close ties to video games. Many created music for games, some created music using video game parts, and at least ones shares a name with a game.
