2nd annual Veterans Glassblowing Day event

From a Press Release:

2nd annual Veterans Glassblowing Day event

November 8th, 2014, 10am – 6pm.

We are very excited for the opportunity to connect with our local veterans to share the joy of Glassblowing, as a form of expression, skill, and even as an art therapy. This event will coincide with the River Arts District Fall Studio Stroll.

Our goal is to reach out to as many of our service men and women as possible; However, resource and time limitations restrict us to a maximum number of 60 slots. We encourage those who are interested to call ahead to reserve their spot, otherwise it will be on a first come-first served basis.

The experience is FREE to all active duty and retired service men and woman and we want to fill these spots!

It is important to us as a studio and members of a community of craftsmen to share our knowledge and skills with those who have contributed so much to our country.

Thank you again for your time and participation in spreading the word. If you have any questions or would like more posters, please feel free to contact us at :  ashevilleglass@gmail.com.

On November 8th 2014, glass blowing schools across the country will open their studios for Veterans and Active Duty members to experience Glass Blowing. For more insight into this nationally organized event, go to – veteransglassblowingday.org.
