N.C. craft brewers want freedom from wholesale cap

From North Carolina News Service:

A debate is brewing in North Carolina’s growing craft-beer industry, just how much can independent brewers sell on their own, before they have to use a wholesale distributor?

The current limit is 25,000 barrels a year, and while that may seem like a lot, several craft breweries say it’s limiting their growth potential, including Red Oak and NoDa in Charlotte.
