NC unemployment rate drops to 8.8 percent

North Carolina’s unemployment rate dropped slightly to 8.8 percent in May, according to the state’s Department of Commerce. Although the construction industry continues to struggle, the state’s hospitality sector has seen the most growth in terms of jobs. Read more at the Raleigh News & Observer.
