Park Ridge Health named one of the nation’s ‘Most Wired’ hospitals

Press release

From Park Ridge Health:

“We are honored to be recognized for our effective technology adoption,” said Craig Lindsey, Vice President of Clinical Services at Park Ridge Health. “One of our priorities at Park Ridge Health is to utilize technology in a way that continually improves safety and experience in patient care.”

Recognition on the Most Wired list means a hospital has a more than 85 percent physician adoption rate for computerized provider order entry; utilizes clinical decision support and evidence-based protocols; and employs technologies like closed loop medication with positive patient identification to reduce the likelihood of medication errors.

Health Forum, an American Hospital Association information company, distributes, collects and analyzes the Most Wired data and develops benchmarks that are becoming the industry standard for measuring IT adoption for operational, financial and clinical performance in health care delivery systems. The 2013 Most Wired Survey is conducted in cooperation with McKesson Corp., AT&T, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the American Hospital Association.

A detailed list of recipients of the Most Wired Hospitals and Health Systems award is available in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks. Please visit www.hhnmag.com or www.hhnmostwired.com for more information.
