Smiling Hara Tempeh is seeking community support to give the company a shot at one of 20 small business grants from Chase Bank. This Mission Main Street grant would provide $100,000 to grow the local food business, but the company needs more votes (via Facebook) to advance to the next round of competition.

“We need 250 unique votes by June 19th to enter into the final round,” the company’s latest newsletter reads. “If we win, we will be using the money to launch and expand new product lines, purchase equipment for a new facility and buy bulk organic ingredients and earth friendly packaging! Please vote today!”

Interested parties can vote for Smiling Hara here.
