The Associated Press reported earlier today, July 2, that three were killed in last night’s severe thunderstorms. The deaths occurred in the east part of the state.
In Western North Carolina, most of the remaining power outages appear to be in Mitchell County, with scattered outages in Buncombe and surrounding counties.
