WNCAP announces 2015 Dining Out For Life success

The Western North Carolina AIDS Project announced that it has processed the results of its largest annual fundraiser and has found this to be its most successful event ever.

Announcement from WNCAP:

WNCAP’S largest fundraiser of the year, Dining Out for Life®, exceeded all expectations, as it passed $176,000 on a rainy, chilly day. We consciously chose to reduce the number of involved restaurants this year, which added to our challenge to surpass last year’s historic numbers. “We are so very proud of the people of WNC who recognize that HIV/AIDS is still around and came out by the thousands to support the Western North Carolina AIDS Project mission, stated event chair Harry Brown. We also appreciate our Presenting Sponsor, Prestige Subaru, who doubled their financial commitment for this year’s event helping us to reduce our expenses to just 5.4%. A big thank you to our additional sponsors, our generous restaurants, enthusiastic Ambassador volunteers and of course our gracious diners, who all believe in our continuing efforts”.

Jeff Bachar, Executive Director stated “In our 18 county area, the need for expanding HIV prevention, case management and advocacy is rapidly increasing. We are seeing an influx of new clients, while facing potential State and Federal funding cuts making private funds more critical in order for us to sustain our services. Funds from Dining Out for Life will help WNCAP meet these needs in innovative ways and position us to expand HIVs prevention programs across our region”.

We encourage all of you to support this year’s DOFL restaurants and sponsors all year round and say “thanks” on your next visit.
