Food where it’s most needed: Mapping resource centers

Growing food is about more than producing the perfect piece of produce or spending quality time in the dirt — it’s about feeding people, and, for many growers in the WNC area, it’s about getting the food to where it’s most needed. In order to help strengthen the networks between growers and food assistance and resource centers, Xpress is working to map food pantries, share markets, community gardens that offer free produce, welcome tables and any other community resources that increase access to healthy foods.

To add a resource to our database, send the address, hours of operation, contact information, restrictions (if applicable), volunteer needs (if applicable) and a brief description to ceidson@mountainx.com.
