Developer Chris Peterson revealed architect’s plans for two 12 to 13-story buildings on the property formerly occupied by Deal Buick at a lunchtime meeting last week.
Peterson invited neighborhood residents to his restaurant, Magnolia’s Raw Bar and Grille, for lunch and a roll-out of plans prepared by an Atlanta architect. (Referring to the high-rise buildings, neighbor Ben Gillum observed, “The plans, unfortunatly, to me anyway, looked like they’d be right at home in Atlanta.”)
Other elements of the plan include: wide sidewalks, underground utilities and trees in front of 4-7 story mixed-use buildings along Merrimon Avenue and 2-3 story townhomes facing Holland Street with a small park and street trees. There would be
