As many of you may know from the Xpress’ coverage, the Type-A Mom Conference—basically a convention for “mommy bloggers”—recently took place in Asheville. One of the more interesting local video series to pop up recently is Into the Heart of the Monster, which documents the voyage across America undertaken in 2006 by Asheville residents Ben Shirley and Jonathan Dudley. And we close with a sarcastic visual commentary by YouTube user Ralph Roberts about the escalation of the conflict over Woodfin annexation. The weapon? “Zeb Vance Mk I antiWoodfin rocket,” of course.
