WNCAP seeks Restaurant Ambassadors for Dining Out For Life

From the Western North Carolina Aids Project

Dining Out for Life®, presented by Prestige Subaru, returns to Western North Carolina April 24, with participating restaurants in Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, Mitchell and Transylvania Counties donating 20% of sales to support Western North Carolina AIDS Project.

Dining Out For Life® volunteers, called Ambassadors, attend training parties and are assigned at one of their favorite restaurants prior to the event. They greet diners and represent WNCAP at their assigned restaurant during breakfast, lunch or dinner.

“There’s a lot of excitement around this event, and our Ambassadors really enjoy encouraging friends, families, clients and neighbors to join them for a meal in support of a worthwhile cause,” said Chris Winebrenner, WNCAP’s Community Resource Coordinator.

Your role as a Restaurant Ambassador is the most important asset we have to ensure the success of this year’s event. You will serve as a “meet and greet” host at a participating Dining Out for Life® restaurant in your area April 24th for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We ask our Ambassadors to help us spread the word! Invite your friends, co-workers, relatives, and clients to join you at your restaurant for Dining Out For Life. This is a great opportunity for friends to support WNCAP and learn more about our FREE HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs throughout our 18 county region.

Participating restaurants will donate 20% of their sales to support the mission of Western North Carolina AIDS Project. Ambassadors offer donation envelopes, giving diners an opportunity to win one of several valuable drawing prizes, and to make an additional donation.

All ambassadors attend a mandatory one-hour Training Party the last week of March during which you will learn more about your role and pick up promotional materials.

To volunteer as a Restaurant Ambassador contact Chris Winebrenner at 828-252-7489 ext.315 or wncapvolunteer@wncap.org.
