Kid-hop and carnival entertainment with Secret Agent 23 Skidoo

For the second annual 23 Ring Circus, hip/kid-hop musician Secret Agent 23 Skidoo teams up with The Runaway Circus, a vaudeville-inspired performance troupe and juggling masters 40 Fingers and a Missing Tooth, for a family-friendly performance extravaganza that promises to “irrevocably shape the memories of hundreds of childhoods in later nostalgiac musings.”  The festivities also include balloon twisting by the Jolly Balloonsmiths, mini golf with the emerging golf enthusiasts Sweet Tee, ice cream provided by Ultimate Ice Cream and cotton candy. The matinee performance will be held at the Orange Peel on June 5th, at 11:30 a.m. 

As Secret Agent 23 Skidoo writes in a press release: “We’ll be filming raw material for a strange-and-psychedelic music video for a song called ‘13 OCLOCK,’ off the upcoming album Underground Playground, to be released [on] August 30: This means that all funk-fried Ashevillians should come out dressed to impress, suited and booted in their most surreal attire.”

Doors open at 10:30 a.m., the show begins at 11:30 a.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 kids under 12. Held at the Orange Peel (101 Biltmore Ave., Asheville).
