AC-T: Break-ins rattle Asheville residents

Many residents in Asheville are having to deal with break-ins this year. The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that city police responded to 63 residential and business break-ins in March, according to police records.

Police investigate about 60 per month, Sgt. Dave Romick said, noting there  were 64 in January and 53 in February.

“This fluctuates due to weather, one-, two- or three-person crime sprees feeding their drug addictions, and other factors,” Romick said.
