Solstice Arts at Tigg’s Pond Retreat Center, June 21
David Voorhees and Molly Sharp along with Rev. Posy Jackson will be hosting an all-day indoor arts and crafts event at Tigg’s Pond Retreat Center in Zirconia, NC on Saturday, June 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. A wide range of artwork will be on exhibit and offered for sale including pottery, jewelry, stained glass, watercolor, pastel and oil paintings, metalwork, bookarts, felt, handmade scarves and garments, wood working, and photography. Gourmet Japanese lunches, drinks and snacks will also be available as will garden crafts, plants and collectibles.
Participating artists include David Voorhees with a wide assortment of his stoneware and porcelain pottery including the results of a wood firing completed just weeks before the event. Molly Sharp will be showing new creations in sterling silver along with her ever popular beach pebble jewelry. Other invited artists include Jane Voorhees with original watercolors and pastels, prints, cards and handmade books; Cheryl Stippich with one-of-a-kind stained glass and precious metal clay and glass bead jewelry; Susan Voorhees with pastel and oil paintings and art aprons; Chad Alice Hagen with handmade books and felt; Saundra Poces with pottery; Jose Poces with wood furniture and trays; Matthew Waldrop with metalwork; Elissa Merrill with silk scarves; Malcolm Logan with wood furniture; Nancy MacDonald with photography and Shoko Steslicke with prepared Japanese lunches and snacks.
Tigg’s Pond Retreat Center is located on 54 wooded acres and landscaped grounds just off of Exit 3 of US 25 in Zirconia .
